Ashita no Joe 50th Anniversary Exhibition is going to be held in Tokyo.

Many original pictures that the artist chose will be displayed.

Report of 50th Tomorrow’s Joe Exhibition in Tokyo

Ashita no Joe Exhibition Summary;

Place: Tokyo Solamachi 5F Space634 (in Tokyo Sky Tree)

Period: April 28, 2018 – May 6

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 18:00 p.m. (Until 30 minutes before the entrance being closed)

Fee: 1,200yen

Access to the Sky Tree: Tokyo Skytree official site(written in English)

 

 

Duration April 28- May 6 is holiday in Japan.

We call this period “golden week."

The holidays are concentrated and the climate is also good.

Joe Yabuki will return in our special season.

Yes! Joe is still a special presence for us.

Present Sanya is different in scenery in those days, but if you want to go there, here is a recommended way to go from Tokyo Sky Tree to Sanya.

  1. Go to Asakusa by train from Tokyo Skytree Station (Tobu Sky Tree line).
  2. Get on a bus “Megurin" at RED1 (Asakusa-eki, and get off at RED12 (Ryusen 3chome).
    Joe’s life-size statue can be seen from the bus stop RED12.
    The ride fare is only 100 yen regardless of distance.

There are a lot of low rate lodging houses which you can use a private room with a key in Sanya, and there are many foreign guests recently.

However, Sanya is an unsafe area compared to other places in Tokyo.

You should pay attention to your nightly visits.

Personally, I think it’s better not to go there at night.
